About
Welcome to Royal Street Veranda, a hidden gem nestled at 1313 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA. This delightful eatery sits conveniently near the gates of Disneyland, making it a must-visit spot for park-goers seeking comfort food in a whimsical setting. With a reputation for serving up delicious clam chowder, Royal Street Veranda has become a beloved tradition for many visitors.
As I stepped into the charming atmosphere of Royal Street Veranda, I was immediately struck by the vibrant surroundings and the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked sourdough. The menu predominantly features their renowned clam chowder, often served in a warm, crusty sourdough bread bowl. It's not just a meal; it's an experience—one that combines the joy of satisfying hunger with the pleasure of indulging in a classic favorite.
During my visit, I chose the clam chowder in a bread bowl, as many patrons suggested. The chowder was rich, creamy, and packed with tender clams, all resting in a delightful, chewy sourdough bowl that you could eat afterward—a perfect pairing. I felt nostalgic as I savored each bite, encapsulating the essence of comfort food that warms the heart, especially during the colder months.
In addition to the famous clam chowder, Royal Street Veranda offers a variety of other dishes sure to please any palate. The warm atmosphere and friendly service make it an inviting place for families and solo adventurers alike.

“ There's nothing better than eating a bowl of delicious Clam Chowder in the Happiest Place On Earth, while people watching the afternoon away. Quick and friendly service; highly recommend! ”
“ We traditionally love to stop here first when arriving at Disneyland for a delicious bowl of Clam Chowder to get our day started at The Happiest Lace on Earth. ”
“ Great clam chowder in a big ol’ sourdough bread bowl. As good as any decent clam chowders out there. It warms the soul. ”
“ We come here for bread bowl soups hands down, one of our all-time favorites every time we come to this little corner here at Disneyland. This place never disappoints me. During the winter, the hot bowl of soup in bread is just the best comfort food ever. They have a little bit of everything if you love this menu . I would highly recommend trying this place out next time you're here at Disneyland. You won't be disappointed, that's for sure. I can't wait to come back here. We just might have to come back before the month of December is over. This place is amazing during the Holidays. God bless ”
“ Hi everyone, ok so I ALWAYS get the clam chowder in the bread bowl everytime I come to the park. Kind of a tradition with me. Ive never had a issue with it, sorry for no photo, i was hungry lol. I love how the chowder is always fresh, the bread is always warm & always tasty. I get why they have to charge what they charge which wasn't a issue for me. The costs like 15-20 which is WAY cheaper than the same in Hawaii which is like 40. The only downside is its not a huge amount of soup tho chowder isn't designed to over fill you. I love it either way 10/10 for me :) ”
“ Gumbo was loaded with steak. Service was quick. ”
“ Delicious, hidden gem for food tucked away behind Pirates. The bread bowls are super yummy and filling, and they have clam chowder, gumbo, and vegetarian gumbo available! Well worth the price, and extremely fast service. ”
“ Good place for a quick bite. Used to have clam chowder. The gumbo is okay. Highly recommend this place for gumbo in a sourdough bowl. Not a long line. They serve you pretty fast. ”
